This year, Kanye West has played the background for the most part, appearing only on a handful of tracks while producing Pusha T's forthcoming project and retreating to Wyoming mountains to "find his inspiration" for new music. Yesterday, however, news broke of 'Ye reaching out to a fan this week and gifting him with a pair of sneakers due to the young man's tragic, yet inspirational story out of Denver, Colo.

At 15 years old, Tyler Wesley suffered a C-4 vertebrae break on his neck from a horrific car accident, resulting in a spinal cord injury which left him paralyzed from the shoulders down. On May 20, the promising former athlete took to social media to share his now-viral story as he continues to make strides with his therapists to walk again. "My five year anniversary of my spinal cord injury is today. Years ago I thought my life was over knowing that I was going to be in a wheelchair for the rest of my life," Wesley wrote. "But now, I am not ashamed of being in a wheelchair. I love the spinal cord injury/disability community. I've heard all kinds of injuries and life stories from inspirational human beings from across the world. Many of them have taught me to never give up and that it can always be worse so just keep pushing on no matter how bad things may get in life."

Upon hearing the story, Kanye sent over a pair of his Cream White Yeezy Boost 350 V2s to Tyler along with a handwritten note praising him for his strength. The family man—who appeared in a new, unreleased version of the shoe just yesterday—wrote "You are an inspiration, you show the world anything is possible. Thank you for sharing your story."

Earlier this month, Kanye and Kim Kardashian's daughter, North, was spotted in a custom pair, leaving many to believe more children's Yeezys will be available soon, especially after the couple dropped their collective Kids Supply Collection in May.
