Kanye West stopped by Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club to make his highly-anticipated return and discussed a lot. Kanye West said that his new album is 80 percent done and he's gonna release it as a surprise album. He explained that his new album is different from Yeezus, "[It's gonna be] bars, songs, cookout music that just feels good. My last album was a protest to music, I was like 'I'm gonna take my ball and go home.' This album is embracing the music, joy. Being of service to the people. I just hope people like it and enjoy it." Just a few days ago Kanye performed his new single titled "Wolves" featuring Vic Mensa and Sia at SNL40. 'Ye revealed that he might do a joint album with Drake and that the project was supposed to be called “Wolves.”

"The song came from a conversation me and Drake had where we were supposed to do an album together," said Kanye. "It was supposed to be called Wolves...we said we was gonna do it, he was sending beats back and forth. I got this one record with Young Thug that I'm gonna put on the Rihanna album...It might happen because I threw that out there, but he [Young Thug] probably be mad that I mention it on your show because he dislike y'all so much."

He touched on the Beck incident at the 2015 Grammys, where he jumped on stage while the L.A. native was receiving his award for album of the year and later commented that Beck should give his award to Beyoncé. Kanye illustrated that while he was eating dinner with Taylor Swift, the restaurant was playing Beck's album Morning Phase. He stated that he hadn't listen to the Morning Phase before the Grammys and he got Beck's number but hasn't got around to call him yet. ("I got his [Beck's] number and I was supposed to call, but I just keep forgetting...I felt good for him.") However, he stood by his stance that the Grammys didn't make the right call. "Think of all the good stuff that happened to me in the last eight days. The person that won was Beck, because if I hadn't done that, his Album of the Year would've never been mentioned...He should win an award for what he did—Rock Album—but he shouldn't have won that award, but who am I to have an opinion." Kanye said.

Charlamagne Tha God brought up the fact that Kanye always sticks up for Beyoncé. Yeezy commented on that, stating it's a funny fact that he's been in defense of Bey multiple times

"It's really ironic that every time it's Beyoncé, for some reason...I think Beyoncé is a great representation of an artist working hard and trying her best," he said. "In America, we have to recognize greatness when we see it...You not gonna have somebody hit all the shots and not give them that credit. Beyoncé don't need no help...they figure she got everything so she don't need nothing else, but she need the proper accolades." 'Ye remembered a conversation he had with Taylor Swift on the same issue, "Taylor was saying that when she was the victim, she won every award, but now that she's the powerful artist, she ain't winning any more awards."

'Ye also touched on the clash between his sister-in-law Khloe Kardashian and his ex-girlfriend Amber Rose. He threw some shade at Amber saying that “if Kim had like dated me when I first wanted to be with her, there wouldn’t be an Amber Rose” and he "had to take 30 showers" before he got with Kim. Khloe and MuvaRose got into an argument because of Rose's commented about Tyga's relationship with Kylie Jenner. Kanye West applauded T-Raw, "I think he got in early, I think he was smart. They are closer in age than a lot of relationships that I know. I knew Tyga was smart."

Last year with the tragic deaths of Eric Garner, Mike Brown and so many unarmed Black men by law enforcement, police brutality and racism were important topics across America, especially in hip-hop. Kanye West explained that the reason he didn't comment publicly on the issue was because his dad urged him not to speak on police brutality last year. However, he will address it on his new album. "My dad emailed me and said,'Stay out of it.' That's my only parent, so I have to listen...I think he's trying to be protective of his son. I can't run in front of every single bullet," said 'Ye. Kanye is also working on a video game based on "Only One."
