Joey Badass is getting into the acting business. The Brooklyn rapper will make his acting debut as a recurring guest star for the critically acclaimed series Mr. Robot, which airs on the USA Network.

The Pro Era member is slated to play a new character named Leon. Variety reports that the character is a close friend of series protagonist Elliot Anderson, played by Rami Malek. Leon talks excessively to Elliot, providing advice and philosophizing on the meanings of life.

Back in the realm of rap, Joey Badass is currently in the midst of a vicious feud with fellow New York rhymer Troy Ave. Joey threw shots at Troy Ave a few weeks ago on the Statik Selektah-produced "Ready," which prompted a strong response from Troy.

The BSB Records artist fired back at Joey with a single called "Bad Ass." The diss track caused some uproar as Troy Ave said that the late Capital Steez could "burn in hell" on the song. This provoked some strong reactions from the likes of Styles P and ASAP Twelvyy as they condemned Troy for mocking Steez's suicide.

Troy Ave did not let up after his diss arrived as he continued to insult the deceased Pro Era member in an interview with Sway on Tuesday (March 1) .

"He didn’t pass away. He killed himself," Troy said. "There’s a difference. God gave you life, it ain’t your right to take that. That’s a fact. I got n---as in jail who got life sentences, they might as well be dead. They could’ve traded their life for his… your friends speak to your character. I got friends that’s killing shit, [Joey's] friends are killing themselves. We not on the same level. Don’t play with me."

Joey Badass responded by posting a screenshot of old tweets where Troy Ave disparaged Nas.
