Jay-Z’s ‘4:44’ Bonus Tracks Revealed
More new Hov is on the way! Universal Music confirms today (July 6) that physical copies of JAY-Z's latest album 4:44 will have three additional bonus tracks for fans to fawn over when released.
Back when 4:44 dropped last Friday, there were murmurs that the physical copies would have bonus tracks. Now the revised tracklist has been revealed. These three new tracks are titled "Adnis," "Blue's Freestyle/We Family," and "ManyFacedGod." That last one boasts a feature from British R&B singer James Blake.
It was producer No I.D. that promised us additional music was coming shortly after 4:44 dropped on Tidal last week. "There’s three more songs that are coming out as bonuses,” the Chicago producer told Rolling Stone in an interview. “James Blake came in and joined into the process. There’s more coming shortly that’s equally as revealing.” Young Guru, who recorded the whole album, also said the track “Adnis,” which was used in the promo visuals before the LP dropped, would be one of the songs included on the physical version. So the only aspect that remains to be seen (or heard) is track 12, "Blue's Freestyle/We Family." With a title like that, fans are guessing the song is a posse cut from Jay, Bey and their first-born daughter Blue Ivy.
Even without the three new tracks, 4:44 is already doing numbers. The album has been certified platinum in less than a week even though it was illegally downloaded nearly a million times. How did Jay do it? He got Sprint to buy a million copies, the same way Samsung "bought" a million copies of Magna Carta Holy Grail four years ago.
4:44 will be available on CD via Amazon starting Friday, July 7.
