With his 4:44 album set to hit Tidal this Friday (June 30), JAY-Z and Roc Nation are kicking promotion into overdrive, releasing the second trailer for the project in as many days. Check out the "MaNyfaCedGod" trailer for yourself below.

Filmed in black-and-white, the newest clip features a soulful instrumental—presumably produced by No I.D.—and finds Lupita Nyong’o giving an anguished gaze with tears in her eyes. She appears to be staring at someone or something, but may just be looking into nothingness as she deals with sorrow brought on by some unknown injustice. A clip released earlier today might offer up a hint to why Lupita's character is shedding tears.

In the last promo, which was titled "Kill JAY-Z," we see a young Black man on the run from someone or something as he wears a shirt with the words "Stay Black" emblazoned across it. Could the young man be, in some way, related to Lupita's character? Who knows. We'll have to wait until 4:44 drops to get an answer. Also set to star in the audio-visual hybrid project is Mahershala Ali and Danny Glover.

The hype train surrounding 4:44 began earlier this month when advertisements for the project began popping up everywhere. For obvious reasons, fans took the ads to mean a new Hov album was on the way—and they were right.

Tidal and Sprint will premiere 4:44 exclusively on Friday (June 30)Check out the new trailer for 4:44 below.
