On this day, Jan. 7, in hip-hop history...

Today, Jan. 7, is the birthday of Blue Ivy Carter. Music's royal couple Jay-Z and Beyoncé welcomed their beautiful princess Blue Ivy Carter into the world seven years ago today.

Ever since Bey allowed the public to finally see her precious face, Blue Ivy has been the talk of the town. Her name alone had people believing she would earn her very own crayon color. While the little girl with the infamous musical bloodstream running through her veins generated a few haters along the way because of her hairstyle choices, Blue has been busy racking up frequent flyer miles traveling around the world with her parents since she was a toddler.

In 2014 alone, just two years after she was born, Blue went to L.A. to watch her mom perform at the VMAs, New Orleans for Aunt Solange's wedding, Thailand, Amsterdam, Paris and more.

Providing facial expression memes for days, a wardrobe to be admired and hair inspiration for the natural goddesses, Blue Ivy is not only living her childhood to the fullest, but she's also giving her title of Princess to the Throne a great name.

2017 marked some special milestones for the little star, the first of which being her rap debut on her father's 4:44 bonus track "Blue's Freestyle/We Family." To close that year out, daddy and daughter met again in JAY-Z's new video for "Family Feud," where they walked hand in hand.

Fresh off of those performances, Hov celebrated Blue's birthday at the beginning of 2018 with an adorable animated visual that accompanied the "Blue's Freestyle" track. In the video, Blue is center stage as Hov and Beyoncé sit back to watch her perform like the proud parents they are. Their twins Rumi and Sir make a cameo, too.

Also, over the course of the past year, it looks like Blue Ivy has already started to embrace her father's "Money Ain't a Thing" mantra. In March of 2018, she threw down a $19,000 bid at a Gala that took place in an art gallery that was founded by her grandmother, Tina Knowles.

Happy 7th birthday, Blue Ivy Carter!
