Jay IDK dropped one of the best projects of last year with The Empty Bank. The D.C. spitter is back today with new music titled “Blame My Friends (The Gang).” The track is the latest nugget from Jay that shows off his penchant for colorful trap songs.

IDK raps about the difference between the real and the fake on the new record, which you can hear below.

"Lookin like y'all want something/Y'all niggas don't want nothin/You talk a lot till you see the beam and they click it cricket, y'all start runinn/Tummy gun wit the hunnit drum/Brum, brum," he raps.

Earlier this month, Jay dropped the visuals for the standout cut “Boy’s Innocence” featuring Fat Trel. In January, he jumped on Kanye West’s “Famous” for “Hello Pt 2.”

The Empty Bank was a wonderful concept album that dissected the double-edged sword that comes with getting money. He spoke to XXL about why he was so honest on the LP.

"The Empty Bank talks about really specific instances where I kind of make the wrong moves based off of money and it also details instances where I was acting like I had money when I really didn’t have that much money," he said. "The project really spells out a lot of that. If you listen to it, you’ll get an understanding of what’s going on in my head."

Since the album, Jay IDK has been traveling across the states with TDE’s Isaiah Rashad on tour. Find out where you can catch them on tour here.
