Jay Electronica emerges from the mist that surrounds his mysterious career with a brand new song called "Letter to Falon." It's produced by Paul Epworth and features The Bullitts, who Jay has done more than couple excellent songs with through the years. Members and non-members alike can stream the track via Tidal below.

Before Jay dropped the song, he tweeted to Kevin Durant about being inspired by the Golden State Warrior to release new music. "Peace family. The last time we saw each other, you and your pops told me to release music," he wrote to KD on Twitter Monday night (June 5). "I've been so inspired by your performance in the finals... here's a gift for you brother." Jay later tweeted a WeTransfer link for fans to download the song.

"I was born on Tatooine with dreams of sand, I kept going/The blind would undermine my plans, I kept growing/God bless the child that has, I kept building/One can't rewind the past, I push forward," Jay spits on the first heartfelt verse, as piano stabs and clapping percussion bobs behind him. Then the horns come in on his second verse, driving home what's probably the best song Jay Elect has dropped in years.

It's been so long since we've heard new Jay Elect, we've all but given up on his Act II: Patents of Nobility (The Turn) album. Nonetheless, the LP has a storied history. Read up on it right here. Even Hov was caught on camera telling the New Orleans MC to drop the damn thing already earlier this year.
