With the special edition Death Certificate: 25 Anniversary album dropping this Friday (June 9), Ice Cube releases his new song "Good Cop Bad Cop," a follow-up to his previous track "Only One Me." The new track is basically an update to N.W.A's "Fuck Tha Police," as Cube raps about police brutality against minorities and how good cops turn into bad cops.

"Good cop, good cop, rollin' with that bad cop/What you doing boy, turning that bloodcat/Buck shot shot, they fire through the drug spot/Robots, can't give a damn who the fuck's shot/Clean cop, clean cop, fucking with that dirty cop/Don’ act like yo ass never heard of that/Clean cop, Clean cop, rollin' with that mean cop/Still tryna’ act proud as peacock/You know that mean cop might need a detox," he raps.

Ice Cube recently sat down with Zane Lowe on Beats 1 Radio to discuss the record and President Donald Trump.

“The same weight under a Trump Administration is starting to feel the same way as it did when daddy Bush was in the White House," Cube explains. "It was the weight of all those policies geared against poor people who were trying to pull themselves up. I feel like that same attack is happening against the most poor and vulnerable people. That same ugliness is starting to rear its head again.”

You can catch the West Coast legend on Bill Maher's show this Friday (June 9). That show will be one of the most watched episodes on TV that day because of the controversy that happened last week when Maher called himself a "house nigger" on national television. They'll be talking about the incident on Friday's show.
