G Herbo, Stalley, Q Da Fool and More: New Projects This Week
It’s the first of the month, which guarantees that for most people rent is due. But for this week, it also means that there's some new music to check out. This includes a couple of collaborative projects from rapper-producer tandems.
Back for the first time since the release of their debut joint project, G Herbo and Southside return with Still Swervin. “It was just me talking about what I’m doing right now in a sense—spending money, enjoying life and trying to give inspiration to the youth,” Herbo said when discussing the duo’s debut, Swervo, in the winter 2018 issue of XXL magazine. Expect more reasons to stunt, turn up and be inspired this go around.
Coming out of Maryland, Q Da Fool has been putting on for the DMV. Responsible for 2015’s Trap Fever, the rapper, who has collaborated with the likes of Zaytoven, Wale and Shy Glizzy, has been told that he sounds like “if Gucci Mane and Young Jeezy had a son.” Now down with the Roc, the 21-year-old has found his voice. He also partnered with one of 2018’s most popping producers, Kenny Beats, to deliver his six-track EP, which is titled Bad Influence.
For his latest project, Stalley wants you to keep that same energy. The critically-acclaimed MC unearthed his “Frequency Energy” single earlier in the week, as well as “I Don’t See” as teasers for his new EP, Human.
