Future’s Album Drops Next Week
56 Nights rapper's next move.
DS2 album will be dropping on July 17. The news came via social media once again, with Future tweeting the release date for the forthcoming project, as well as the cover art. The cover photo is pretty simple, but the imagery is rather stunning nonetheless, with what looks like a purple haze cloud. It encompasses all of what the MC has been rapping about on his latest string of excellent mixtapes, which
we broke down here. Fans have been blowing up the crooner's Twitter mentions with excitement as he continued to post links to
pre-order the album prior to its release.
DS2 is a follow up to his
Dirty Sprite mixtape that dropped back in 2011. The official project will feature 15 tracks. Those who cop the album early will receive three songs for free, which include the previously released "Fuck Up Some Commas," "Real Sisters" and a new track, "Blow a Bag" (listen to below).
Dirty Sprite 2 will be the fourth project we receive from the Freebandz founder in recent months. Back in January, he dropped Beast Mode, following the release of Monster in the fall. In March, the Southern spitta hit us with 56 Nights. He's been on a roll lately, dropping the visuals to many of the songs on the three projects. More recently, he shared the video to "Real Sisters."
Future also tweeted a promotional video for the LP, as well as the trailer to his upcoming documentary, Like I Never Left. The minute-long clip follows Future on tour, before switching to some vivid pictures of the album's cover. You can check it out below. Also check out GQ's censored Magic City doc featuring Future Hendrix below too.
