Earlier today (Feb. 14), Future announced a self-titled album dropping on Friday, Feb. 17. Now, the Atlanta rapper asks to be forgiven for “any hurt and heartbreak” he may have caused.

Future Hendrix posted a photo of himself on Instagram with a lengthy caption, in which he asks asks people to bear with him through his “trials and tribulations.”

He writes, “With all due respect, Im asking you to be loving, patient, and kind enough to understand my creativity is to heal wounds, not make new ones. However, the greater the risk, the greater the reward. Especially when you have great intentions for every individual that has played a major role in your life experiences.”

Future continues, “Now bare with me through my trials and tribulations, my wrong’s and my rights. Find time to forgive me for any hurt or heartbreak I may have caused loving selfishly! I’m not perfect, no man walking this earth is. I’m at a place in life where I wanna make my weaknesses my strengths to become a better person than I was yesterday.”

It is unclear what Future is referencing specifically, but many are speculating that he is speaking on his breakup with Ciara and everything that resulted from it, including a child custody dispute, a defamation suit and more. You can check out the Instagram post below courtesy of Future’s official account.

In other Future-related news, the “March Madness” rhymer just linked up with Maroon 5 for a song titled “Cold.” On the new collaboration, Future spits, “Trying to stay, and I leave/Saying that you need some time to breath/Thinking that I’m sleeping on the four letter word/But the four letter word don’t sleep/We goin’ two separate ways/You ain’t been actin’ the same.”

Stay tuned for Future’s new album, slated to drop on Friday, Feb. 17.
