As the 2018 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival comes to an end, it goes down in history as one of the most hip-hop-heavy lineups the festival has ever seen. After a year of chart-topping hip-hop and R&B hits and rap replacing rock as the most popular music genre, it's only right for that to be represented at one of the largest festivals in the nation.

On Sunday (April 15), artists like Cardi B, Migos, French Montana and Eminem had the honor of closing out the festival, and through ups and downs put on a show fans won't soon forget.

Day one performances featured Trippie Redd joining SZA for a surprise set that included "Dark Knight Gummo," Kendrick Lamar performing not one, but two times with both SZA and Vince Staples, Belly hitting the stage, Rich The Kid performing "Plug Walk" and The Weeknd closing out the day as headliner with an emotional set.

When it came to day two, Jay-Z joined his wife Beyoncé onstage for a set that will go down in Coachella history as one of the very best, Post Malone treated fans to surprise performances from 21 Savage for "Rockstar" and Ty Dolla $ign for "Psycho," Flatbush Zombies brought their New York City energy to deliver songs off their new Vacation in Hell album, and that's just a few of the stellar performances.

For day three, see highlights from the shows XXL got the chance to see during the final shows of 2018 Coachella and peep some videos below.

  • Eminem Brings Out Dr. Dre and 50 Cent

Eminem is undoubtedly a living legend, and a solo set for him to close out Sunday's festivities would have been enjoyable, but, of course ,he brought out a few fellow rap OGs to help him out onstage. First, 50 Cent came out to perform "Patiently Waiting" with Slim Shady, then performed a few of his own hits like "In Da Club."

Later, Dr. Dre would appear onstage to a raucous crowd to perform "Forgot About Dre" and "Still D.R.E." Eventually, Eminem pointed out that they couldn't do a show in Southern California without performing "California Love," and he even rapped 2Pac's verse.

He appeared to close the show with "Not Afraid," a motivational hit, but then surprised fans by coming back out once more to rap his most well-known song, "Lose Yourself."

  • Migos Perform "Bad and Boujee," "Narcos" and More

Migos' set on Sunday got off to a rocky start, as the group were about 30 minutes late to their highly anticipated show due to sound issues. The crowd was becoming more and more agitated as the minutes added up. However, once Quavo, Takeoff and Offset took the stage, those frustrations were forgotten as the group performed many of their chart-topping hits like "Bad and Boujee," "Narcos," "Ice Tray," "T-Shirt" and many, many more. They even brought out fellow QC label member Lil Baby to perform "My Dawg."

  • Cardi B Turns Coachella Into Boachella

Cardi B had undoubtedly one of the most impressive shows of the entire weekend. Well into her pregnancy with fiancée Offset, she donned a white outfit while rocking the stage to perform a number of hits as strippers danced on poles behind her.

To introduce her guests, she said, "I'm out of breath, my pregnant ass," and then brought out 21 Savage, G-Eazy, YG and Chance The Rapper to help her out and perform many of their collab hits.

  • French Montana Brings Out Diddy

French Montana took the stage in the early afternoon on Sunday with an elaborate stage backdrop that transformed from a Moroccan-inspired background to one showing shots of New York City. Having rocked the Billboard Hot 100 with his music over the last year, French had no problem pumping the crowd up with hits including "Unforgettable," "Work" and "Pop That" before belting "Free Kodak!" and performing "Lockjaw."
