Eminem has something special coming for fans. Shady recently announced he will be re-releasing his album The Slim Shady LP on cassette.

The Detroit rap star revealed the news on Twitter with a GIF of the spinning cassette tape. "#SSLP Cassette re-issue coming soon," he captioned the post. A corresponding link sends you to his website where you can sign up for early access to the forthcoming release.

The cassette will also come with a t-shirt with the name of the album and possibly other exclusive merch.

There is no confirmed release date for the tape which will surely be a must have for Eminem Stans collectors.

The Slim Shady LP was Eminem's second release and first major label studio album put out via Shady Records and Dr. Dre's Aftermath Ent. It is ultimately what kicked off Mathers' career as the biggest rap act of all-time, sales wise. The album was released on February 23, 1999 and was spearheaded by the singles "Just Don't Give a F-ck," "My Name Is," "Role Model" and "Guilty Conscience."

The album debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 behind only TLC's FanMail moving 283,000 copies in its opening week on shelves. The LP would go on to win the Grammy for Best Rap Album and has since sold over 5 million copies in the United States despite being panned by some for its controversial lyrical content. The rest, as they say, is hip-hop history.

Now the only question is, does anyone still own a tape player?
