Drake Goes Legit, So Far Gone Re-Packaged for Retail

After singlehandedly catapulting him to stardom, Drake's critically-acclaimed mixtape, So Far Gone, will be repackaged for an official re-release.

According to MTV News, the disc will fundamentally be the same as the original, but will now include a previously unreleased record, “Fear,” stuck onto the album’s end.

“I recorded it when I did So Far Gone,” Drake told mtv.com about the song. “The first verse and half of the second verse I had gotten through. But then I just stopped because it was getting eerie. It was getting where I didn’t know if I could [finish it].”

Luckily for fans, Drizzy had an epiphany deciding to use the song as a segue into his full-length debut album, Thank Me Later.

“The other night I had a moment and I finished the song,” the Toronto MC continued. “That’s gonna be the last song on the retail [version of] So Far Gone. And the third verse transitions into Thank Me Later. So the last line of the third verse is gonna be the first line on my album.”

In related news, Drake has apologized to Sylvia Rhone, the president of Motown Records. As previously reported, Drizzy had said some disparaging remarks about the record exec in the new issue of Fader magazine, but Billboard then broke the news that unbeknownst to Drizzy, that he was actually signed to Motown as opposed to Universal Republic as he announced. Drake has since reconsidered his opinion of Rhone.  “I can definitely say for me, for furthering the negativity, I can definitely say I apologize,” Drake told MTV. “I don’t know her personally to discredit her character.
