DJ Khaled Hits Studio With Big Sean Ahead of ‘Father of Asahd’ Album Release
DJ Khaled is deep in album mode, and recent social media posts suggest the forthcoming project, Father of Asahd, will be a star-studded affair. In a tweet on Wednesday (July 18), Khaled shared a photo of himself in the studio with Big Sean.
"The cook up never stops !" he wrote. "FATHER OF ASAHD THE ALBUM IN WORKS .. making FATHER OF ASAHD ITS ALL ABOUT THE GREAT VIBES."
The picture, which shows the producer on a couch next to Sean, doesn't offer many clues about the music being concocted, but if past collabs are any indication, the result will be memorable. The pair last connected on Khaled's Grateful track "On Everything," which featured a Big Sean verse perceived by some as a Kendrick Lamar sneak diss.
The "I Don't Fuck With You" rapper isn't the only A-lister spotted cooking with Khaled in recent days. The DJ has also shared photos taken on a music video set featuring Justin Bieber, Quavo and Chance the Rapper. You'll recognize that lineup from last year's chart-topping Khaled single "I'm the One."
Khaled also tweeted about receiving vocals from Sizzla, writing, "Amazing studio session SIZZLA AND CREW." The Jamaican reggae legend appeared on Grateful's intro track "I'm So Grateful."
The major key provider explained the inspiration for his next album in a video love letter to his one-year-old son Asahd in March, a few days after letting loose the lead single, "Top Off," featuring Jay-Z, Beyoncé and Future.
