Desiigner's 2016 XXL Freshman Freestyle is blowing up bigger than even he probably expected. Officially viral, the video has over 7 million views on YouTube and has been remixed and parodied by dozens of people.

Admittedly, even after knowing all the lyrics to the a cappella rap turned single, the track leaves for a little explaining. Like, why does the center of the song seem to be hellbent on committing a murder spree? And what the hell does Fairly Odd Parents have to do with all of this? It turns out nothing.

The Brooklyn rapper recently sat down for an interview with All Def Digital where he answered most of the pertinent questions about his latest single. First of all, who is Timmy Turner?

“Timmy Turner is me," said the G.O.O.D. Music MC. "I was referring to myself when I was saying I ‘was wishin’ for a burner.' And when I said ‘she fuckin’ for BET,’ I was referring to a girl that, you know, would do anything for the fame."

He continued, “Then I would say in the song that I know that my soul’s in the furnace; because if I know that I wish for the burner, and she knows that she would do anything for the fame, you know you go to hell.”

According to Desiigner, the song was always intended to be a full track.

Check out the full interview, above, where he also talks about linking up with Mike Dean and the meteoric rise of "Panda."
