Cypress Hill’s “Hits From the Bong” is the Most Popular Song on Spotify’s 4:20 Playlists
With April 20 fast approaching, those who imbibe in a certain substance are scrambling--or, well, moving languidly--to put together their playlists for the pseudo-holiday. But with that deadline coming up, Spotify has released their list of the most widely used songs in 4:20-themed playlists. The winner, which might come as no great shock, is Cypress Hill's "Hits From the Bong," from their 1993 sophomore album, Black Sunday. It makes sense, then, that the state with the most marijuana-centric playlists is California.
This is the entire top 20 list; it's no the most surprising set of tracks, but a sufficiently hazy playlist nonetheless.
