Cozz is gearing up for the release of his debut album but before the Los Angeles rapper drops his project, Cozz shares his latest single, "Badu" featuring Curren$y.

Produced by Cozz's longtime collaborator Meez and Enimal, the track features a jazzy instrumental that's easy to vibe out to. "Yeah a nigga back, I ain't done yet, baby/I ain't stoppin' til I'm ballin', like enough said, baby/If I fall then I'm crawlin' then I'm straight back to the walkin'," Cozz raps.

Following Cozz's verse, Curren$y comes through to close out the track, spitting, "I gotta keep a bad one in the ride with me/Got a bitch who known for totin' pistols right outside of me/Keepin' an eye on all these niggas who said they'd die for me."

Signed to J. Cole's Dreamville label, Cozz was previously featured in XXL's The Break. During the interview, the rapper revealed to us his goal in hip-hop, saying he wants to inspire. "I ain't got a long time out right now, so I am still figuring out myself," he said. "I do just want to inspire. I want people to love the music out there and just do me."

Cozz also told us his aspirations to be the next Tupac Shakur. "I feel like Pac was so, like, he could make you feel some type of way, but at the same time, he can still make a point," he said. "I feel like I could do that. I could inspire a lot of people. I grew up in the hood as well, but I am smart enough to know that there's more than the hood."

While Cozz's debut album, Effected, doesn't have a release date yet, the project is expected to release in the first quarter of 2018.
