Hear Consequence’s New Freestyle “The Realness”

Consequence is back dropping rhymes on "The Realness," a new freestyle for the "Where Hip-Hop Lives" series, presented by NYC Hot 97's DJ Enuff and LA Power 106's J Cruz. You can listen to the XXL exclusive below.

On the song, Cons assures fans they won't catch him rhyming over any trap beats and even takes a shot at the NFL for how it's been treating Colin Kaepernick: "We boycotting them touchdowns until they hire Kaepernick."

Cons has previously freestyled over Pharcyde and MC Lyte classics for the series, so to hear him over this DJ Premier classic is a welcome treat.
