Chris Brown Throws Shade at Drake For Mentioning Karrueche Tran on ‘What a Time to Be Alive’

Chris Brown and Drake have been at odds over women for years and on What A Time To Be Alive, Drizzy took a dig at Breezy by mentioning the singer's recent ex-girlfriend, Karrueche Tran. Last December, Breezy publicly announced his breakup with Tran on Instagram and claimed that his ex went on dates with Drake instead of visiting him while he was doing a four-month prison bid. Though they had previously been seen in the studio together, Drake and Brown have never sen eye-to-eye and after Brown accused Tran and Drake of meeting on the low, Drizzy called out the singer during a February concert by changing the lyrics to his hit "Energy" to, "I got R&B niggas that I gotta act like I like."

On What A Time To Be Alive, Drake added more fuel to the fire by name-dropping Karrueche on "Live From The Gutter" with the line, "This for my niggas on that bullshit and that nonsense/This for my dawgs that go Karreche with the chopsticks." After the Sunday night release, Brown took to Instagram and posted a picture of himself with his daughter that included a lengthy caption that reads like a response to Drake's sly mention of Karrueche:

I'm too blessed for the bullshit. People who have had to sit a watch me for years do me and watch their females actually love me always show their insecurities. I embrace anything God has given me. It's bigger than this music shit. I'm content with being Chris Brown. A lot of people are unhappy and a lot of these artist lie to the fans or rely on hype to gain substance. You niggas bore me. Ima keep being who God made me to be!
