Kendrick Lamar’s “Alright” Inspires Protesters After Donald Trump Cancels Rally

Kendrick's Lamar's Grammy winning single "Alright" continues to be used as a rallying cry. This time, protesters at a Trump rallly at the University of Illinois used the inspirational track to turn TF up after the Republican presidential candidate hopeful cancelled his appearance.

The Donald was scheduled to show up at the university yesterday (March 11), but fierce protests forced him to cancel due to safety concerns. He rescheduled the rally for another day, to the delight of the majority of the crowd who, after learning the news, got crunk as hell while chanting Cornrow Kenny's hit.

The celebration didn't stop there. Out in the streets people got a rousing chant of "F-ck Donald Trump" going to the soundtrack of Crime Mob's "Knuck If You Buck." Good times times were had by all. Except those who were hoping to hear Trump speak.

The business man turned politician's rallies have turned into a sad spectacle recently with acts of violence toward protesting minorities occurring continually.Trump's antics have pissed off a number of people including several rappers who have expressed their disdain for his views.

This isn't the first time K. Dot's song has been used during protest. Students at Cleveland State University rapped the song's lyrics during an on campus protest against police brutality last July. The song was even the inspiration of a college scholarship that was created last August.

The track took home two awards at the 2016 Grammy Awards including Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance.
