Check Out These NBA Players on Hip-Hop Album Covers
The 2017 NBA Playoffs are set to begin on Saturday (April 15). As basketball fans eagerly await for the postseason’s arrival, the NBA on TNT team has come up with a unique way to get ready for the playoffs.
The folks at TNT are redesigning classic and recent hip-hop album covers with players from this year's playoff teams. Iconic LPs like Nas’ Illmatic and 2Pac’s All Eyez on Me get a new spin with basketball stars Steph Curry and James Harden featured on these NBA versions of the covers.
Newer albums like Migos’ Culture and Drake’s Views get the same treatment. The team-first play of the San Antonio Spurs gets paired up with Migos, who are known for their teamwork on the mic. The Toronto Raptors get a fitting representation on their team ambassador Drake’s cover too.
The NBA on TNT will release basketball versions of hip-hop album covers for all 16 playoff teams. The campaign will run until Saturday (April 15) when the 2017 NBA Playoffs start.
Fans can keep up with all the covers on social media by following @NBAonTNT on Twitter and Instagram. Each post will feature lyrics designed to capture to buzz surround each of the 16 playoff teams.
