In celebration of their 20th anniversary, Cash Money Records, the home of Lil Wayne, co-founder Birdman, Drake and many more,  has released their Cash Money app. The app is available for purchase exclusively through Apple's App store today (June 29), and it will be available on all digital platforms beginning on Sept. 1.

The new Cash Money app will enable users to recreate images of classic releases from the iconic label in their own image, adding things like flames, jewelry and much more. In addition to that, app users will be afforded a free introductory pack of 20 add-ons, with the opportunity to buy packs from albums like Juvenile's 400 Degreez and Solja Rags albums and Lil Wayne's Tha Block Is Hot. The app also includes virtual recreations of Lil Wayne and Birdman's tattoos. Sounds dope.

As if all those features weren't enough, the new Cash Money app will also stream 15 classic Cash Money videos, which will include behind-the-scenes footage and commentary from the figures that helped make the videos so legendary.

For the first month of its release, the Cash Money app will host an exclusive "digital pop-up shop" that will exist as the only place you can purchase things from the Cash Money 20th Anniversary line. The app will also include a news section so fans can keep up with all of the latest updates in the world of Cash Money Records, including new tour dates, album releases and more.

To create the immersive app, Cash Money worked with the folks at Neon Roots, which is one of the industry's leading developers. Operating alongside Cash Money for the project, they also plan to incorporate contests and ways to access exclusive 20th anniversary material over the next several months.

For his part,Cash Money Records Co-Founder and Chief Executive Ronald “Slim” Williams is happy to inject the music industry with such a groundbreaking app.

“We’re always excited for the next innovation in the music industry. The app engages fans on the modern playing field, while celebrating our history. It’s the perfect balance," he explains. "I can remember selling our first releases out of my car, and I can’t wait to see how the album artwork comes to life in the digital space! It’s the beginning of yet another era for Cash Money.”

Republic Records VP of Digital Aaron Bogucki says Cash Money's unique visuals are something he and the company wanted to put in the hands of fans. “We were sitting in the Cash Money Vault as a team, and we began looking at all of these amazing album covers. We wanted to embrace that influential aesthetic within an app. That’s what sparked the idea. Now, fans can place themselves in this artwork for the first time. It’s an exciting avenue to organically promote the 20th anniversary of such a powerhouse label and its influence.”

Working alongside Cash Money and Republic is TV-based music platform, Music Choice, which dedicated two separate channels to Cash Money. From June 23 through July 16, the Hip-Hop and R&B Music Channel will play 30-minute blocks of Cash Money songs. At the same time, their throwback music station, Rap 2K, has been playing Cash Money music 24-hours a day.

“We wanted our viewers to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Cash Money Records by giving them a curated experience across our entire network,” says Damon Williams, Music Choice’s SVP of Programming Strategy and Partnerships. “There’s always been a great synergy between the label, our company and our viewers, Cash Money is the most watched label in the history of our Video On-Demand service. We’ve been very supportive of each other over the years, so it means a lot to us to help tell the story of their unbelievable history with artists like Drake, Nicki Minaj, and Lil Wayne.”
