Update (Feb. 2, 2:33 p.m. EST):

Now Casanova's dropped the video for the "Don't Run" remix as well. Peep that below.

Original Story:

Brooklyn rapper Casanova enlisted a spectacular lineup of New York talent for the "Don't Run" remix. The Flatbush rhymer teamed up with Fabolous, Young M.A, Dave East and Don Q for the new remix of his popular single, and the track does not disappoint.

XXL recently caught up with Casanova, who spoke about the infectiousness of "Don't Run." The Warehouse Music Group artist said he quickly became attached to the beat.

“I was in the love with the beat,” he said. “I just heard it, it was hard. I didn’t know what I wanted to say. I started thinking about my watch. ‘Cause the first thing you do when you get money in the street, you get a watch. That's like a man’s trophy. I just started thinking, somebody start to rob me for my watch I’m not with it.”

Casanova also touched on why he felt the song was gaining so much momentum. He attributed the popularity to the message connecting with all types of people.

"I feel like it connects because more men, every man if you ask them, a watch is getting money," he said. "An artist, anybody, any watch, an Apple Watch, nobody’s trying to lose it. Even if you’re not a tough guy, it gives you an opportunity to stand for something. I see dudes that I know ain’t shooting nobody going crazy to it. [Raps] ‘They ain’t know I had the glock.’ I think ‘Don’t Run’ really makes you feel in tune.”
