Cardi B to Have Increased Security for Los Angeles Club Gigs Following Gang Threats
A recent Instagram post where Cardi B used gang lingo has her in hot water, causing clubs in Los Angeles to beef up their security when she performs at their venues.
On Tuesday (Feb. 6), Bardi caused drama after posting a photo of herself on Instagram. In the pic, she poses with a royal blue fur coat on. "I hate wearing Flue but this coat was too poppin," she captioned the photo.
In gang culture, Bloods often avoid using the letter "C," and some people took this as a slight toward the Crips. After people started talking greasy in the comments, Cardi removed the caption and disabled the comments on the photo. But it appears the damage has been done.
According to TMZ, the Bronx rapper has three upcoming shows in the L.A. area during NBA All-Star weekend next week, and venues where she is performing are adding security to help ensure no gang situations pop off. The brass at Murano, Penthouse and Ace of Diamonds clubs recently had an emergency meeting to discuss the threats, which they are taking very seriously, and are tripling their muscle for the upcoming shows. They've even hired police officers to help control the crowd. Better safe than sorry.
Aside from the Instagram photo fiasco, Cardi continues her glow up. She was recently added to the final North American leg of Bruno Mars' 24K Magic World Tour. It's also confirmed she has a new song with Jennifer Lopez.
