Boxer Adrian Broner Walks Out to 6ix9ine’s “Gummo” at Boxing Match After Recent Instagram Beef
It looks like there might have been a little cappin' involved in 6ix9ine and boxer Adrien Broner's beef earlier this week, as Broner walked out to the Brooklyn rapper's hit song "Gummo" for his bout versus Jessie Vargas on Saturday (April 21).
As previously reported, 6ix and Broner had a war of words on social media on Monday (April 16). 6ix initially called Broner a clown, and the boxer responded. "Ay 6ix9ine, don't be commenting no fuck shit under my pictures, boy. Talking bout, 'clown,' nigga," Broner begins in the video. "The only thing with a red nose from where I'm from is a pitbull, nigga."
Broner continued, "And I get to New York this week, nigga. Muthafucka gon' pull up on you, nigga. I ain't one of these rap niggas you be trolling with. Quit playing wit' me."
That appears to have been for show, because, plot twist, 6ix9ine was reportedly supposed to walk Broner into the ring rapping "Gummo" last night. There are reports that the rapper was removed from the building and unable to walk at Broner's side, but the boxer still came out to his song anyway. 6ix instead watched the intro from a vehicle, posting the footage on Instagram. He clearly knows what's coming before his song even starts playing. "Come on, AB!" he yells.
Other rappers spotted at the event included 50 Cent, Rick Ross, O.T. Genasis and Casanova. Earlier in the day, video surfaced that appears to show Cas and his crew getting shot at. He denied that is what happened, but the incident kicked off a back-and-forth with 6ix9ine, who he has had issues with in the past.
In related news, a shooting occurred outside the Barclays Center where the boxing match was held, which was reportedly a result of a clash between Casanova and 6ix9ine's crews. XXL has confirmed with the NYPD someone discharged a weapon outside the venue around 9:30 p.m. No one was injured and no one was arrested in the incident.
The Broner and Vargas fight ended in a majority draw.
