It's been a busy year for Blu and Exile, who have returned together to the music scene, and now they're back with another new song for fans. The hip-hop duo unleash their "Christmas Missed Us" track, which was produced by Exile.

The track will appear on the Amazon Original playlist Christmas Soul, which will be available exclusively for streaming on Amazon Music beginning Nov. 24—both Amazon Music Unlimited and Prime Music.

Following up the recent release of their Before the Heavens prequel album, In the Beginning: Before the Heavens, the new track is influenced by the Christmas holiday, which the two say helped shape them to become who they are today.

Blu recently spoke with XXL about the song and why they wanted to do a Christmas-inspired record.

"We are proponents of progress so paying homage to those and the events that got us where we are today is a no brainer," Blu says. "To say we would be honored, would be to say the least."

He also discusses what inspired them to begin the process of making a Christmas-themed track.

"There is so much to pull from surrounding the celebration of the most popular man in world history," Blu explains. "I just tried my best to say as much as I could as if it was my only chance to be heard."

The second half of 2017 has been filled with new material from Blu and Exile, as the longtime musical pair dropped their new project, which is a prequel to their Below the Heavens album from 10 years ago, as well as some new songs, including "Constellations."
