Black Hippy is back and spazzing all over ScHoolboy Q's "THat Part" on the above remix. Jay Rock is first, Kendrick is after that, and Ab-Soul is third before Q finishes it off.

Tonight (July 7) ScHboolboy released Blank Face, the follow-up to his 2014 album Oxymoron. The album features a wide range of guests like Jadakiss, Vince Staples, Anderson .Paak, Tha Dogg Pound, Miguel and others. Recently, Q admitted that the Miguel collab was something the label made him put on the album, just like they did with "Studio" on his last LP.

In a new interview, Q also spoke about nearly quitting rap after Oxymoron came out. “I was gone for a year and a half, and then before that I was gone for a year, and then before that I was gone for six months. You get what I’m saying? That’s three years. My daughter’s seven. Like the first two years I didn’t raise her because I was dirt broke. Then I only got two years in with her. My daughter always lived with me, so I only got two years of raising her out of seven years. So it’s like I’m not about to be that rapper. I’m not about to be that person that puts his job, his business, his money over his family."

In many ways, Q's role on TDE has always been that of the "non-rapping rapper," the gang member who tried his hand at rap and found success. Kendrick, Soulo and Jay Rock are seen as more craft-intense MCs, while Q's appeal is more closely aligned with being the neighborhood dude who happens to rap.
