All is apparently not well between Nicki Minaj and the head of her label, Bryan "Birdman" Williams. According to a TMZ report, Baby was trying to gain access to Minaj's pre-Grammy party during the early-morning hours on Sunday (Feb. 8). The venue, in Los Angeles' West Hollywood neighborhood, was open until at least 2:00 a.m.; despite arriving at least 15 minutes prior to that deadline, the mogul was reportedly told by club management that the party was already closed.

Minaj has been signed to Baby's Cash Money Records for over half a decade now, but she is also on Lil Wayne's Young Money imprint. The distinction was once a minor one, but those days are long gone. Wayne is reportedly suing to extricate himself from his Cash Money deal, where he alleges he has not been paid royalties and from where he cannot secure a release date for his forthcoming album, Tha Carter V. In recent weeks, there has been fervent speculation as to whether or not Nicki and her fellow Young Money superstar, Drake, will jump ship when Wayne eventually ditches Cash Money. There is also uncertainty as to the legality of such a move.

Nicki attended the Grammys last night in Los Angeles, but while she received nominations for "Anaconda" (Best Rap Song) and "Bang Bang" (with Ariana Grande and Jessie J. for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance), her third studio album, The Pinkprint, will not be eligible until the next year's voting period.
