XXL is back with another look at the best songs of the week. Big K.R.I.T. said he put his heart and soul into making his new double-disc album 4eva Is a Mighty Long Timehis first since his last Def Jam album Cadillactica in 2015. It shows on songs like "Drinking Sessions" with Keyon Harrold, an emotional highlight on the 22-track LP.

Lupe Fiasco popped up on Twitter Wednesday (Oct. 25) to share a song called "All While Doing A Rubik's Cube One-Handed" which samples the speech Lil B gave at Rolling Loud last weekend after he was jumped by A Boogie and crew. The audio quality of Lupe's song isn't the best, but his bars are still top-notch.

Johnny May Cash is one of the most slept on artists in Chicago, and he recently resurfaced with a dope new song called "Hating Shit," complete with a video. Don't sleep on it.

Lud Foe is also one of the hottest young dudes coming out of the Chi with an aggressive, scorched-earth flow. His new No Hooks 2 mixtape is a must-listen, and "New" is a sure shot winner off the tape.

To top off the week, New York underground duo Armand Hammer, a.k.a. billy woods and Elucid, announced their new album ROME by dropping a song called "It Was Written." They're two of the most gripping MCs among NY's underground right now, and here they sound like it. The new album drops Nov. 3.
