ASAP Rocky Taps DRAM for New Song “Five Stars”

A$AP Rocky is gearing up for the release of his new album, but before it drops, the Harlem rapper shares his latest track, "Five Stars" featuring DRAM.

Rapping over a bouncy beat from Metro Boomin, Rocky pays tribute to his favorite codeine beverage. "Pour the soda in the Wockhardt/Paint the picture like pop art/Boy, you sweeter than Pop-Tart/Say I'm pretty like Leon/Her chest beatin' like five hearts," the A$AP Mob rapper spits.

Originally leaked under the name "Wok," the official version of the track keeps the same lyrics from the leaked version. "New Prada bag (new Prada bag)/Brown butterscotch (brown butterscotch)/They don't know Flacko (they don't know Flacko)/I'm grippin' the wop (woo, I'm grippin' the wop)/I do what I want (do, do, do what I want)/I'm sippin' the Wock (fuck)," Rocky raps in the second verse.

While it's uncertain when Rocky's upcoming album will release, a description on the "Five Star" SoundCloud page reads, "TESTING COMING SOON." The rapper also recently teased a snippet of a new song on Instagram. "Heroin punch, cocaine up in her veins/She dancing, acting strange/Heroin punch, I ain't for the games/Smoking blunts, rolling paper planes, what you want," Rocky spits during the snippet.

According to the rapper, his new album will be all about "testing new sounds." Rocky told GQ, "People are scared to test new sounds, so they go with what's current 'cause it's the easy thing to do. The top 100 songs sound a certain way. People cater more to that because it's a bigger demographic behind that, or it's a guaranteed demographic behind that. I prefer to experiment and have my crowd grow with me and to reach new crowds. I don't just rap—I actually make music. That's why it takes time."
