This past weekend, XXL caught up with A$AP Ferg at the launch event of his clothing collection with Young & Reckless. Besides speaking to us about his recent partnership with the clothing brand, the Trap Lord gave us a brief update on his upcoming sophomore LP.

As of now, Ferg's next album has no set release date, but his fellow A$AP crew members, Rocky and Nast, are set to drop solo projects in the weeks to come, and Ferg isn't too far behind.

"It’s almost done. I’m just tweaking it right now," he said of his next LP. "I just want to get it in with a couple of more producers that I love, and it seems like the further I get into it I’m just trying to squeeze more magic out of it. So I think I'm just gonna keep going until the label tells me I can’t go on anymore, honestly."

But what about long-rumored collabs with the likes of Diplo or Skrillex, the latter of whom made his way onto Rocky's debut? "Maybe," Ferg said, laughing. "But you know, a lot of those people are my friends, so a lot of the times if I’m not working with them, we're just vibing. But I can definitely tell you it's going to be crazy and it’s the new Ferg; it's not A$AP Ferg, it's not Trap Lord, it's Ferg and I’m giving my all and I’m going in. I’m going in deep, like I’m telling true stories and it’s gonna be crazy."

It's seeming more and more likely that the A$AP Crew is looking to have a huge 2015. —Roger Krastz
