Deeply in love with her girlfriend, Ireland Baldwin, Angel Haze unleashes her new joint "Candlxs." Over beautiful production from TROY NoKA, the 2013 XXL Freshman spits bars about her love before breaking into song for the chorus. Haze flashes her versatility and songwriting skills and her style is a complete 180 compared to her XXL freestyle from '13. The deeply personal song is apparently going to be on her upcoming project and she told Rap-Up, "This is one of the first songs I wrote for my new record. It feels incredibly personal, but I'm happy to finally share the passion I've felt but couldn't express." Not only did Haze write and record the song, she also painted the cover art, which is a portrait of her and Baldwin.

Rumors about Baldwin and Haze's relationship have been swirling for months. The couple has been treated as taboo by some mainstream media since and Haze set the record straight in an interview with The Independent last summer. "“An interracial gay couple, I mean that’s just weird for America right now. We f**k and friends don’t f**k. I have never f**ked one of my friends. Once I see you in that way, it doesn’t happen, ”she said. “But we do f**k and it’s crazy and that’s weird to say because I think about it in terms of an audience reading it and them thinking, ‘What the hell?’ But it happens.”

Since then, speculations about their breakup surfaced, then a few months later it seemed like the two may get married. Based on "Candxls," one can assume their relationship is in a happy place.
