Alchemist got involved with a project put together by Ford called Culture Collabs. The project brought together the talents of Alchemist, Jhené Aiko, Va$htie Kola, Mike Brown, The Seventh Letter and Naturel for a unique collaboration.

"I think that this is a really dope opportunity," Alchemist said of the Ford Culture Collabs. "Creative people coming together for the sake of being creative. Blurring the lines between what's music, what's art? One inspiring the other or vice versa. It just feels natural."

Alchemist's contribution to the project was an instrumental titled "Don V." You can listen to the entire 58 second beat above as ALC laced Ford with some of his signature sounds. The acclaimed producer also spoke with Ford as part of the video series for Culture Collabs, detailing his journey as a beat maker.

"It's a cool list you can unravel," Alchemist said of the artists he worked with during his career. "Starting back early, starting with Cypress Hill. It went from there to Fat Joe, connected to Mobb Deep. It kind of just spiraled from there. Nas, Marshall Mathers... you know, I deejay for him when it's time to go on tour. You name it. Whoever you guys like, I got that!"

Alchemist explained that music was the perfect outlet to express himself, but noted that this could change someday in the future.

"When I got attached to the music, it felt like this is how I could really express myself," Alchemist said. "But then again, it could just be a stop along the way. It's creativity in you and you express it one way or another. I'm riding it out."
