Drake caused quite the uproar when his Summer Sixteen tour stopped in New York City this month, with special guests like J. Cole, Cam'ron and Derrick Rose, among others, all touching the stage. But there are perhaps greater implications for Bronx rapper A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, who opened up for Drizzy during his multi-night Madison Square Garden stay.

XXL recently caught up with A Boogie to talk about his relationship with Drake, how the MSG gig came about and what he's learned from the 6 God's helping hand. "I met Drake about a month ago," Boogie says, noting that he wasn't sure if it was really the chart-topping rapper for a few days, until the two had a FaceTime call. "He hit me up like two days before the Garden. He was like, 'Yo, you ready?'"

From there, Drake pretty much gave Boogie the stage to learn and do his thing, the up-and-comer saying that he was nervous for the first two nights, but by the third day he was good. While the two didn't speak much following the performances, Boogie does say that he studied Drake's stage presence and showmanship. "Now I’m moving better when I perform," he admits. "I’m feeling it already. Everything 'bout to be lit now."

Of course, inquiring minds want to know if a Drizzy and A Boogie collabo is on the way. Well, don't fret. The Bronx native also confirms to XXL that plans to do "something" with Drake are already in motion. "Yeah, we talking 'bout working on something," A Boogie affirms. "That's coming in real soon."
