9 Recent Shootings In Hip-Hop
On Wednesday night, a Fat Trel release party in New York City erupted in violence after an unknown man opened fire at the bar in SOB's in Manhattan leaving four injured and the people in attendance terrorized.
Despite hip-hop's reputation for violence, shootings involving rap's top stars has become relatively rare in recent years as street rap has become more and more marginalized in mainstream hip-hop culture. Luckily, no major star has lost their life or fallen victim to gunfire in years.
While violence has decreased, it has not ceased to exist. Perhaps due to their past or their preternatural ability to court jealous haters, rappers will occasionally still find themselves with bullets whizzing by their heads. XXL has compiled 9 recent incidents of rappers being shot at in recent years.
