UPDATE:

Hot 97's Ebro Darden and TT Torrez have stepped forward to deny claims that the station is banning 6ix9ine music. Check out the story here.

ORIGINAL STORY:

With 6ix9ine expected to come home sooner than expected, New York City's Hot 97 is reportedly making it known that they will not play his music on their airwaves.

According to a report TMZ published on Monday (Oct. 14), an executive from the New York radio station confirmed that they don't plan to play 6ix9ine's music upon his release from prison. The Hot 97 exec reportedly admitted that the station has never really been a big supporter of the Brooklyn rapper. They also aren't fans of Tekashi's decision to testify against his former Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods associates.

There's reportedly only one way Hot 97 would even entertain the idea of giving 6ix9ine spins. The executive states that if there's an all-out public uproar that demands the station to play an overly successful song, then their team would consider it. However, at the moment, the station doesn't seem like they will support the revival of 6ix9ine's music career.

There's also slim to zero possibility of seeing 6ix9ine hit the stage at the next Summer Jam concert. The executive also confirmed to TMZ that the "Fefe" rapper is too much of a liability and will not be allowed to go near a stage at any of their future concerts. The station, home to shows like Ebro in the Morning, and more, could be standing behind Ebro Darden, who traded shots with 6ix9ine on Instagram last year before his arrest.

Hot 97's attempt to set the standard for all hip-hop stations comes after 6ix9ine has reportedly signed a new record deal worth $10 million with his previous label, 10K Projects.
