600 Breezy Sent to Prison for Violating Probation

Good news for Breezy fans. A video posted to Breezo's Instagram contains audio of him calling from behind bars in Waterloo and clarifying his sentence. "I don't got no 10 years. I'm looking at a year or less, I'll be back on the streets," he says in the video below.

A few months ago, rising Chicago rapper 600 Breezy had just gotten the chance of a lifetime when his vocals landed at the end of Drake's More Life track, "Lose You." This past Friday (June 2), the rapper, who appeared on stage with Drizzy, Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards a couple of weeks back, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for violating his probation, which stems from his May 2012 arrest for crack cocaine possession.

According to a Facebook post from Breezo—real name Antonio Valentino King—he was headed to a Waterloo, Iowa courtroom for traveling without permission, which is technically a violation of his probation.

“This long ass drive the Waterloo I’m about to walk in court on straight asshole mode … cause if I been violating for traveling…that mean I’m violating coming to court.. and the crazy part my supervising p.o in Chicago didn’t violate me . Iowa did….. After 5 years now Iowa wanna all of a sudden step in," Breezy wrote in the post.

Breezy's mother, Renita King, used her Facebook account to confirm Breezy's 10-year sentence. “Iowa just locked up Antonio Valentino King for 10 yrs. This is the worst birthday of my life," she wrote.

According to Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier, Breezy was one of several people arrested for "possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine" on May 30, 2012. Five years later, Breezy's past is once again come back to bite him.

Thing's aren't necessarily all gloom and doom for Breezy, though. In a leaked text message, Drizzy revealed he has no intentions to let the young rapper he'd taken a liking to sit in prison.

“They took him in revoked his probation and gave him 10yrs. He won’t have to do it but basically lock him up for smoking weed & being black," reads a text from someone on Breezy's team, now claiming Breezy had gotten in trouble for smoking weed.  Drizzy replied, “I won’t let him sit. We will do everything we can.” It's something.

According to Breezy's team, he only had three months left on his probation when he was allegedly penalized for smoking weed. In a now-deleted Instagram post, Breezy's squad claimed he would be out of a cell in less than year's time.
