It looks like 21 Savage season two begins next month. Today (May 10), the East Atlanta rapper let loose a tweet with almost 100 daggers and the date, "6-1-17," seemingly providing a release date for a new project.

Now, we don't want to say for sure 21's dropping some new material on that date, but that would make a ton of sense. It's been almost a year since 21 and Metro Boomin dropped Savage Mode, and in today's era of rapid-fire rollouts and surprise releases, a new 21 project is borderline overdue at this point.

The question is, will 21's new project be the rumored Savage Mode follow-up, Savage Mode 2? There's no way we can say. What we can say for sure is that 21 has been one of Atlanta's biggest stars over the last year or so, and Savage Mode is a huge reason why.

Featuring a perfect union of 21's chillingly lifeless monotone and menacing lyrics and Young Metro's ominous trap instrumentals, Savage Mode was straight flames. Imagine if they could churn out another "No Heart" level track.

There's no other word on any new music from 21 Savage, but now we might just have some to look forward to. We'll have to wait and see. In the meantime, you can read 21's possibly release date-indicating tweet just below.
