21 Savage has officially responded to his impostor 22 Savage. The ATL upstart at 2016 XXL Freshman denounced his comedic clone while in concert recently (Oct. 5). While the 21-year-old "X" rapper was freestyling for his crowd, he made sure to say, "Ain't no 22, ain't no 23." The fans immediately started cheering and when the clip was posted online, people couldn't wait to say "the beef is on!"

Baton Rouge's 22 Savage, also known as comedian McArthur Johnson, started his spoof of the Atlanta rapper back in January and has been confusing the Internet every since—and for good reason. 22 actually looks and sounds exactly like 21. He even has a song out called "Jumpin'" that's building his numbers on YouTube and Soundcloud by the minute. While some online are giving 22 props for his shameless biting, others are shaking their heads at the total lack of originality.

“I just felt like jacking him,” 22 said in an interview with SOHH. “I’m really a savage out here. I’m really in the slums. I’m in the trenches…What people don’t understand is that underneath this funny, it’s really real. We’re in the streets. I’m a street nigga trying to make it out anyway I can.”

Meanwhile, 21's star is undoubtedly rising thanks to more notoriety than ever. Since he dropped his Savage Mode mixtape with super producer Metro Boomin back in July, the knife tat rapper has been gaining radio play. Not to mention, Savage is fresh off his first national television performance at the 2016 BET Hip Hop Awards.
