Fre$h (formerly known as Short Dawg of Young Money) links up with 2 Chainz and 50 Cent for the new song "Petty."

The Houston native along with 50 and Tity Boi rap about about being petty when they are forced to. They present a number of examples when pettiness is appropriate. Fre$h and 50 Cent handle the first two verses while 2 Chainz closes out the song.

"Roll up a joint and I'm gon' pass it to no one I'm just bein' petty/Fuck in the night and mornin' times I pay for the telly/Stingy like an only child I'ma hold it down/Spend a couple thou for a pack of loud/Nigga I will front on you, backin' down down down down," he raps.

"This song was inspired by necessary pettiness," Fre$h explains over email. "When you gotta show 'em just because you don't do something doesn't mean you can't."

Last month, 50 Cent shared on Instagram a picture of himself and 2 Chainz with the caption conveying that the two superstars got some new music on the way. "Petty" may have been the record Fif was referring to. The last time they collaborated was “Get Low,” 50’s single from 2015, which also featured an appearance from Jeremih.
