Talib Kweli will perform alongside Hi-Tek as a reunited Reflection Eternal at this year’s Rock The Bells festival, but the Brooklyn emcee caught up with XXLmag.com to reveal the possibility of another duo appearing on stage, as well.

“There’s a possibility that Mos might be coming out on that, too,” said Kweli, intimating that Pretty Flaco could hit the stage for a few dates of the summer festival. Yet even before the tour kicks off, Black Star will reunite for a pair of shows at the Nokia Theater in Times Square on May 30.

“All of my records have outsold Black Star—my Hi-Tek record, my solo records—but the question I get more than anything is ‘When’s the new Black Star coming?’” said Kweli of the fans clamor for collaboration between him and Mos Def. “It proves to me that record sales have nothing to do with what’s in people’s hearts.”

Though there’s no news of a Black Star album in the works, Kweli has confirmed that he has at least one effort on the way. Revolutions Permitted, the follow-up to Reflection Eternal’s first album, Train of Thought, is “almost done” and due out this summer. - Devin Chanda with reporting by Clover Hope
