Maroon 5 is set to perform at the 2019 Super Bowl Halftime Show, but not everyone is feeling the NFL's choice of entertainment. With the big game set to take place in Atlanta, Waka Flocka Flame is calling out the league for not choosing an Atlanta hip-hop artist to perform.

Speaking with TMZ on Wednesday (Sept. 19), Waka said it wasn't fair for the league to choose an artist that doesn't hail from from the Georgia city. "I think the Super Bowl, you should have somebody that's from Atlanta, representing Atlanta... They need somebody from Atlanta, it's only right," he said. "It's not fair, but this the NFL we talkin' about—they're not fair."

Waka also pointed at the NFL's issues with Colin Kaepernick and said the league could have done more to show support. “You’re coming to the biggest Black state in America,” the rapper continued. “Why wouldn’t you let a Black artist perform and show the world that we’re progressing? That’s not cool.”

As for who Waka would like to see perform at the Super Bowl, the rapper suggested Migos or Future, and even said he could come by and perform his hit song "Hard in the Paint."

While Migos and Future most likely won't be at the show, a new report from Billboard suggests that Cardi B and Travis Scott could be joining Maroon 5 in Atlanta. Cardi has worked with the group before, teaming up for the song "Girls Like You."

Although it's just a rumor, a rep for the band declined to comment on the report, while the NFL stated, "It's a Super Bowl tradition to speculate about the performers for the Pepsi Halftime Show. We are continuing to work with Pepsi on our plans but do not have any announcements to make on what will be another epic show."

Last year, Cardi shot down the notion of playing at the Super Bowl Halftime Show, saying she wouldn't perform until Kap was signed by a team. "When they hire Colin Kaepernick back," she said to TMZ.
