Aside from his family, friends and fans, NBA players across the league were shocked by Nipsey Hussle's sudden death especially Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant.

The Los Angeles rapper was shot and killed outside his storefront in L.A. just 30 minutes before the Warriors were set to play the Charlotte Hornets last night (March 31). During their warm-up, a Warrior fan account caught footage of KD and Curry talking. Seconds into the clip, Durant seems to inform Curry about Nipsey's death, thus explaining why Curry appears to put his hands over his head in disbelief.

"It was tough," Curry said about learning of Nipsey's death after the game. "I was just as surprised as a lot of people. I got to know him last year by having a great conversation about who he was as a person, what he stood for and what his message was, how he tried to inspire people considering where he grew up and how he turned it into something powerful. He represented the entire city though so it's definitely a sad, sad tragic event. I send prayers to his family, his community, to Lauren London. Hopefully, they all stay strong through this."

Curry met Nipsey Hussle last year when the rapper dropped by his YouTube series 5 Minutes From Home. In the episode, Curry and Nip leave from a Warriors game to grab some food and talk about Nipsey's music, sports and fatherhood.

To honor the late rapper, the Warriors' Oracle Arena played one of Nipsey's songs over the loudspeakers.
