Vic Mensa is always ready to spit a mean freestyle, and this time, he's hopping on Drake's new "Diplomatic Immunity" beat. The "OMG" rapper flaunts more of his lyrical expertise on the new freestyle, and does some serious name-dropping when it comes to Joe Budden.

Since Drizzy allegedly took some shots at the veteran rapper on his original version of the track, Mensa seems to follow suit as he spits about Budden's beef with Consequence on Love & Hip Hop, his previous domestic violence allegations and much more.

“Fake like it’s all love at shows ’til they push the Joe button and you get punched in the face as a consequence,” he spits. “And jump right back on live, cappin’ with confidence/Famous for putting your hands on women, you can’t be proud of it/Don’t try to fuck wit me shorty, just stay monogamous.”

Listeners are certainly alarmed to hear the Roc Nation rapper mention Budden is such a scathing manner, but Vic made sure to shoot down the talk of the song being an actual diss towards Budden. Posting footage of himself listening to the track in the studio, Vic gives a shout out to the Mood Muzik MC, assuring fans that there's no bad blood between them.

“Shoutout Joe Budden,” he says. “Don’t misunderstand me. That was not a Joe Budden diss.”

Knowing Budden's stance on the art of rap and lyrics, there's a good chance that he will take the freestyle light-heartedly like Vic is portraying it, and appreciate the clever bars.

Vic also unveils the official music video for "We Could Be Free" with Ty Dolla $ign, which follows in the footsteps of the lyric video he dropped back in December 2017. The new visuals directly addresses police brutality and violence while showing images of families of different races and backgrounds and the fears they face within society. There's also a cameo from G.O.O.D. Music‘s Malik Yusef.
