Tyler, The Creator Forced to Cancel First London Show in Four Years

Tyler, The Creator was on cloud nine after being let back into the U.K. after his ban expired. So much so, he decided to throw a surprise concert. Unfortunately, the show got shut down before it started because too many people showed up.

Earlier today (May 18), Wolf was ecstatic, posing in front of the Buckingham Palace in London and running around one of the city's many monuments. He teased an impromptu show that was to take place at 3 p.m. local time at Copeland Park. But, unfortunately, the mass of humanity that showed up posed a problem and Tyler was forced to shut things down.

"GO HOME, HAD A COOL IDEA BUT I CANCELLED IT BECAUSE IT GOT TOOO ROWDY," he announced on Instagram.

There were reports that the show was shut down by the Metropolitan Police. According to The Guardian, police were present but it was a decision by the venue to cancel the show. It is unclear if this will have an affect on Tyler's newly-lifted ban, but the rapper plans on returning for something official soon. "NIGGAS GOT TOO BIG NOW I CANT BE DOING LITTLE SHIT ANYMORE HAHAHAHHA," he commented. "LOVE YALL THO IM COMING BACK TO LONDON SOON THO."

Pictures and video from the area show what looks like thousands of people clogged up in one space. The Londoners definitely showed up in bulk. Fans were too hype to see Tyler for the first time in the nearly half a decade since he was banned in 2015 by then home secretary Theresa May because of his lyrics that were deemed to “encourage violence and intolerance of homosexuality” and “foster hatred with views that seek to provoke others to terrorist acts.”

Tyler is currently promoting his new Igor album, which dropped on Friday (May 17).
