Tyga is pivoting his career into a new direction. His new album, Kyoto, is expected to showcase a different side of the 28-year-old, as he talks about love and boasts his vulnerabilities for the first time in his career. On Wednesday (Feb. 14), T-Raww released the third single off his forthcoming project with the harrowing "U Cry."

The California native dropped off the coinciding visual to "U Cry," featuring Costa Rican model Juliana Herz, who also played Tyga's love interest in the "Temperature" video.

Tyga's rebirth showcases a new sound, where he sings using Auto-Tuned vocals about a prior relationship, which we can assume is about ex-girlfriend Kylie Jenner. The "Rack City" artist gives a nod to Aaliyah's classic 1994 track "Back & Forth" ("Yeah we always go back, back, forth and forth") and croons, "Am I talking foreign when I say I miss you?/Or maybe your phone was on silent, but your phone is always with you/And the one who put tears in your eyes/Is the same one there when they're dry."

Kyoto features 14 tracks and precisely enlists appearances from 24hrs, Gucci Mane and Tory Lanez. The album's cover art was also met with some controversy for its graphic image of a woman illustrated to look like a tiger positioned in front of rising sun. The "Faded" artist met the controversy with this quote: "It's not a flag, it's a rising sun. The artist is Japanese. So, he's a very well-known Japanese designer so, that's why I did it with him." Tyga looks to finally get in front of the narrative that many tabloids have created surrounding his essence.
