Tyga May Be Launching Weed Strain Named After His Song “Taste”

Tyga appears to be branching out as a businessman. From the looks of his Instagram, his next play is a marijuana venture named after his Offset-assisted single, "Taste."

The "Rack City" rapper has appeared in several photos posted in recent weeks by a two-month-old Instagram account (@tastekush) promoting a new weed strain. He's pictured in the operation's hydroponic grow room touching the cannabis plants and smiling.

One of these photos was also posted Thursday (Aug. 2) on Tyga's personal account with the caption, "Lil babies @tastekush coming soon." According to the brand's account, the first strain will be stocked soon by ADCC dispensary in Los Angeles' downtown Arts District.

Tyga would be following in the footsteps of an illustrious group of rappers, including Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa, who have branded or marketed their own strains. We've reached out to the rapper's team for comment.

The potential launch comes as "Taste" continues to prove itself as an inescapable summer jam. The track was certified platinum on July 24 after its release on May 16. Kanye West, for what it's worth, has called the song's visual the "best video of all time."

Tyga dropped his most recent album Kyoto in February and recently dropped a video for new single "Swish." He also appears on Iggy Azealia's new project Survive the Summer released today (Aug. 3).
