Travis Scott Arrested for Inciting a Riot at Arkansas Show
If you've ever been to a Travis Scott concert, you know the lit factor is too real. But it seems the totality of his turn up got La Flame arrested last night (May 13), following a show he performed at the Walmart Amphitheater in Rogers, Ark.
Reports are coming out that the Rodeo rapper was taken into custody following his set. According to TMZ, he was arrested on charges of inciting a riot, endangering welfare of a minor and disorderly conduct. He was released without bond a few hours after his arrest. Details of exactly what Travis did to defy the law have not surfaced, but according to one of the rapper's fan pages, some of the venue's staff were hurt as a result.
People, some of whom were apparently at the show, have taken to Twitter to react to what went down. Everything seemed to be going well at first. "Not only did @trvisXX break his record last night by playing Goosebumps 15x, but he also started a riot & got arrested for it. Crazy night," one person posted on Twitter.
"How you gone lock Travis Scott up after his own concert for starting a riot, his music is just that good," someone else added. Others were confused by what happened as well. "I just don't understand how a venue books someone like Travis Scott - knowing his shows get on some rockstar shit - then call 5-0 on him smh," another Twitter user noted.
Scott recently came under fire after one of his fans injured his leg leaping from a three-story balcony at one of the rapper's shows. The Texas MC has denied encouraging the incident.
XXL has reached out to the Rogers Police Department and Epic Records about the arrest and have not gotten a response as of press time. Check out footage from the show and Twitter reactions from some fans below.
